Some men have thousands of reasons why they cannot do what they want to, when all they
need is one reason why they can.

Ashley Edwards, LPC, NCC has a passion for working with children, adolescents and young women. Her specialty is working with first time mothers who are having a hard time adjusting to the many curveballs that comes with the motherhood experience. She fully believes that it is possible to take on the roll of “Mommy”, while continuing to work towards fulfilling their dreams. Having a child doesn't mean game over, it simply means that one must take sometime to develop a plan and hold themselves accountable to creating their ideal lifestyle with secured mental wellness tools.
Resonating as a primarily Person Centered therapist, Ashley believes that no two people experience any situation alike. It is the job of the therapist to take the time to get to know their clients and their experiences to understand their worldview. Clients are the expert of their own lives and change only happens when individuals have the dedication and motivation to do things differently.
It is important for clients to first love and accept who they are as a person in order to be better able to navigate this thing that we call life. Without a firm understanding of clients knowing who they are and discovering their purpose, it can be difficult for them to live their best life.
Ashley’s desire is to help encourage young women to fully embrace who they are and where they come from, with the intention of gaining an understanding of their worth. In doing so, this will inevitably help them become the best version of themselves apologetically. Ashley is currently accepting new clients in the South Loop office location.
